The Final Blow

The Final Blow

After the withdrawal of the Shia ministers from the cabinet session and the resulting loss of its legitimacy and constitutionality, the Council of Ministers approved the objectives, that is, the first page of Barak’s demands, unanimously by those present.

These decisions are considered illegitimate.

It appears that Saudi Arabia and the United States have decided to go all the way in their confrontation with the resistance, a path that ultimately paves the way for dismantling what remains of the Lebanese army.

Riyadh and Washington are pursuing this agenda through its local proxies, from the presidency to the prime minister’s office, and through certain Lebanese factions aligned with its interests.

The resistance, for its part, has made it unequivocally clear that it will not disarm, regardless of the political pressure or foreign-backed schemes being pushed forward under the guise of national interest.

What I expect next is deeply concerning: the Saudis and the Americans will likely push the Lebanese army into an internal conflict, knowingly setting it up for collapse.

This would create the perfect pretext for Israel to intervene militarily, claiming Hezbollah has taken control of the country.

At the same time, takfiri groups linked to Al-Julani could be funneled into Lebanon from the eastern and northern borders under the excuse of “protecting” the Sunni population, turning Lebanon into a battlefield once again.
